Summerville Storrytellers

We went on the Summerville Ghost Walk last weekend along with Jonathan's cousin, Louise Lawton, and her 4-year old son, John Robert. Various points of interest throughout Summerville's downtown have spots where children (and parents) can sit and hear funny/spooky stories. The Town Square is decorated with scarecrows produced by various youth groups and local businesses -- no, Jonathan's business did not do a scarecrow! We had a fun evening and enjoyed beautiful Fall weather with some new friends. Happy Halloween!

Grandma

My Grandma in Ohio died yesterday. She had just turned 93 and was in and out of the hospital with pneumonia, among other things. She was my father's mother and was the one who had the twins. Many people have told us that we look alike. She loved to laugh and always had a smile, even when she wasn't feeling strong. She is loved and missed by so many!

I love you, Grandma!
Here are some pictures of the last time we saw her, the summer of 2006.

Family!

Our dear cousins from London visited over the weekend, much to the delight of Mary and Jack. They brought their wonderful parents with them as well -- Jonathan's sister and her husband. Jonathan's parents came along for the weekend festivities as well as my sister Kat, my mother and her husband. Lotsa love here!

Happy 40th Birthday Party!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the big 40th birthday party for my dear husband! He had a wonderful time as did I! We loved sharing this occassion with all of his family, most of mine, and so many friends. I didn't know that he remembered how to play his didgeradoo -- he continues to amaze me! It was a night of dancing, music, laughing, eating, drinking, singing and good times.

Words I Never Thought I'd Say...

"Mary, please be sweet. Jack, if she won't play with you then just play with yourself!"

Fall Festival and Camping!

We had a big weekend! After a FULL day of fun at the Fall Festival in Hartsville, at the Coker Farms Interpretive Center, which included hay rides, tractors to climb, face painting, hot dogs, and a corn maze, it was off to the farm to camp. We found a beautiful spot and enjoyed roasting marshmallows (after a yummy dinner at Applebee's).

My Eagle Scout husband thought of everything! I was truly amazed. Not only did he bring reclining fold-up chairs but also thought of hot chocolate, tea and doughnuts in the morning! The kids had a blast and we parents survived....but will definitely do it again sometime.

Happy 40th Birthday, Jonathan!

Love this picture of Jonathan, taken when he was about 5 years old and living in NYC. He was born there as his dad was completing his residency at the time. They moved to Atlanta shortly after this picture was taken. Can't you just see what a handsome man he soon became?

Happy birthday to you! I love you.

Daddy Weekend!

Here are some pictures of what Daddy was up to all weekend while Mommy was at the beach house with her girl friends. Looks like they had a great time!!! Just in case you can't tell, they are digging up worms (used for fishing), playing soccer, climbing trees, walking around Middleton Plantation, and lots of funny faces!
